Capacity-Building
What We Do
The capacity-building crosscutting team’s role is to provide strategic coordination, sharing, oversight, and facilitation of support to capacity-building interventions at the national and provincial levels. Knowledge and skills gaps, limited livelihood opportunities, weak institutional capabilities, and a lack of coordination between the different levels of government hinder the effective implementation of environmental conservation efforts in PNG.
To address these gaps, the capacity-building team will leverage the expertise and available resources of its partners to carry out capacity-building programs and activities that empower the target audiences. Tasks may include training, workshops, development of materials and manuals, standardization and institutionalization of training programs, creating partnerships for scholarships and internships, and supporting the MEL team in monitoring and capturing these activities and results.
